Lovely spot to visit for food. We turned up in-between food serving times on a sunday with our one year old and the chef was extremely accommodating. Great outdoor play area and beautiful views.

Went here for the first time today. Reserved a table for lunch, parked easily and we were fairly quickly shown to our table. Order wasn't taken so I ordered drinks at the bar only to be told someone would take good order at table. Waited what seemed like 10-15 minutes and then went and ordered at the bar! Good Sunday roast with choice of 3 meats, huge portions and were offered a container for doggy bits. Eventually we were cleared and ordered desserts (not in the slightest bit necessary but it was a treat!) Pleasant restaurant area with a wood burner, and in addition there is pet friendly tables and a children's play area. Highly recommended but table staff could perhaps be a bit more alert. Loved the fire brigade memorabilia

We have always enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Martins Bar during our holidays and this was no exception. The carvery meal was hot and tasty, I had a small portion but more than enough to eat. At this time of year serving staff behind the counter taking orders for meals and drinks are often young and inexperienced, the young lady serving us could do with remembering that most customers appreciate at least a smile and a reply to their conversation before wondering off to serve someone else.

Been a couple of time's to Martin's and not been disappointed. Had a truly amazing dinner on Sunday father's day. Just what I was hoping for, lovely roasted beef and pork. Great Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. Cauliflower cheese and beans, with mashed sweet potato and gravy. All amazing, just a quick note there was other veg available just not what I wanted.
